vasomotor rhinitis

: chronic rhinitis that is not attributable to allergy or infection and is marked by runny nose, nasal congestion, postnasal drip, and sometimes sneezing triggered or exacerbated by various potentially irritating stimuli (as strong odors, smoke, alcohol, spicy food, or sudden temperature changes)

Note: Vasomotor rhinitis is a form of nonallergic rhinitis and rarely causes itching of the eyes, nose, or throat found in allergic rhinitis.
