Great Basin

geographical name

region of the western U.S. between the Sierra Nevada and the Wasatch Range including most of Nevada and parts of California, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Oregon and having no drainage to the ocean

Note: The Great Basin contains many isolated mountain ranges, which are known collectively as the Basin Ranges.
