diversity, equity and inclusion
There was excitement in the air that social change might finally be possible. It seemed that everyone was talking about DEI, which stands for diversity, equity and inclusion, and about real commitments to improve access in such areas as jobs, housing, health care and education.Darcel Rockett
In the simplest terms, a DEI-centered approach to government or business is meant to improve overall outcomes by breaking down barriers between people and putting everyone on a level-as-possible playing field. That's done in part by exposing bias where it exists and intentionally including the people (racial minorities, people with disabilities, people who are LGBTQ) who have generally been excluded.John Staton
